Johnny Carson told Vincent Price this was a great movie.

Canadian retiree sure learned alot about the war of American Independence. Actors, actresses, the plots, the exciting and the steaming scenes, the costumes, the land and weather - all contributed to a magnificently realistic portrayal of a pivotal time .

I’ve been on a Revolutionary War kick recently. Had no idea that William Daniels would turn up as John Adams in this! Color me surprised (and impressed).

I remember watching this when it was first broadcast. I initially watched it for Andrew Stevens and discovered Don Johnson in the process. It was the first thing I'd ever seen him in. Watched him in everything he's done since then. Thank you so much for posting these movies. John Jakes was the hot property book-wise back then.

1:16:23 This made me laugh out loud. The way it was shot makes it just silly. Too long between the time he says for her to run and her actually running. Looks more like he calculated the timing and yelled for her so she would block the shot coming at him.

What happened to the little girl? Was she left alone at Dragonwyck with the servants? Did I miss a scene that tied up this subplot? Otherwise, a wonderful old classic.
